Contributors’ work
Much of what appears in Military Antique Collector is written and photographed by contributors. A request to reprint a signed article or a credited photograph may need the author’s permission as well as ours — write to us and we will tell you who to ask.
What you may do without asking
- Link to any page on this site, including individual articles and issues.
- Quote a short passage — a sentence or two — with attribution toMilitary Antique Collector, the author’s name, and a link to the article.
- Print a page for your own reading, research or classroom use.
- Cite us in scholarship, with credit.
What needs written permission
- Reprinting an article or column in whole or in substantial part.
- Reproducing a photograph, illustration or cover.
- Republishing on another website, in a newsletter, or in a book.
- Any commercial use, and any systematic or automated copying of the archive.

Military Antique Collector is a publication of Historical Publications LLC, which also publishes Civil War News and The Rampant Colt. Names and marks of other organizations appearing on this site belong to those organizations.
Copyright Concerns and Removal Requests

Your request should include:

- Any supporting documentation that may help us evaluate the request.
At Historical Publications LLC, we take copyright concerns seriously. Upon receiving a complete request, we will review the matter promptly and may temporarily remove or restrict public access to the material while the claim is being evaluated. Please allow at least 3 business days for the material to be removed or restricted from public view.
Submitting a request does not automatically establish copyright ownership or infringement. We may contact you for additional information before making a final determination.
